Apart from the active participation of the U.N.F.T in preparing the summit, either through its presence in the first phase in Geneva (December 2003), or through the process of preparing the summit of Tunis in Hammamet (June 2004), and Geneva again (September 2005); The UNFT organized different conferences, Forums, Workshops and training sessions. Besides; its central administration as well as the regional delegations was equipped with computers.

On the occasion of the UNFT’S 12 convention, the UNFT organised a work shop about “women and the new communication technologies ”under the patronage of Mrs Khedija Ghariani secretary of state in the ministry of communication technologies; responsible for computer sciences, Internet and programming (March2005)

The UNFT contributed to the exhibition that took place at the RCD party locals on the occasion of the National NGO day and which was entitled “ the role of NGO’s in the spreading of digital culture” .Under the patronage of Mr Ali Chaouch previous RCD general secretary and actual minister of social affairs, solidarity, and Tunisian immigrants.

On the occasion of the international day for the family , Mrs salwa Ayachi Laben , minister of women , family , childhood and the elderly , presided a training day in computer sciences for the benefit of young children (May 2005)

In June 2005, the UNFT organised a debate about:” The basis for the construction of the society of knowledge and the contribution of the civil society” under the auspices of Mr Kamel Làabidi secretary of state in the ministry of equipment, housing and territory preparation and parcelling .

A presentation on the information society was held in June 2005, on the occasion of the meeting of the central committee of the UNFT.

The central administration of UNFT many measures were taken:

The organisation of training sessions in the domain of accountancy, computer and internet for the benefit of high-grade employees (May 2000, October2001, February 2003)

Connecting different sectors of the UNFT central administrations to the internet

Creating a website for the UNFT with constant actualization(www.unft.org.tn).

Equipping the different kindergarten relevant to the UNFT with computers

Organising training sessions in the domain of computer science for the benefit of Kindergarten animators.

In order to pave the way to the summit, a training session in the English language was organised for the benefit of the UNFT central administration high-grade employees ( October 2005).
